Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Limited recently made a significant move by deploying 400 electric two-wheelers across three major Indian cities, namely Kolkata, Pune, and Ahmedabad. This expansion marked a strategic enhancement of their fleet operations following a successful initial rollout in Hyderabad. The company, known for its ‘Joy e-bike’ and ‘Joy e-rik’ brands, collaborated with SpeedForcEV to offer technology-driven solutions catering to delivery partners and fleet operators in the Quick Commerce and E-Commerce sectors.
Following the pilot deployment of 100 electric two-wheelers in Hyderabad, which showcased high vehicle uptime and operational efficiency for delivery partners, Wardwizard now sets its sights on the ride-hailing sector. The company plans to introduce 200 L5 passenger electric three-wheelers in Maharashtra in partnership with SpeedForcEV and Cabeys, a prominent ride-hailing platform. Looking ahead, Wardwizard aims to deploy a substantial fleet of 5,000 such vehicles across multiple Indian states in the upcoming financial year.
In a bid to bolster its EV charging infrastructure, Wardwizard has teamed up with AmpVolts. Yatin Gupte, the Chairman & Managing Director of Wardwizard, emphasized the efficiency and reliability of the company’s integrated fleet solutions. Noteworthy features such as long-range batteries and seamless charging mechanisms render their vehicles well-suited for last-mile mobility, catering to the evolving needs of the transportation landscape.
Established as a pioneering EV manufacturer in India, Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility Limited holds the distinction of being the first listed entity on BSE within the Electric Vehicle manufacturing domain. With a diverse portfolio comprising over 10 models across high and low-speed categories, the company has cemented its presence in more than 400 cities across India, reflecting its commitment to widespread accessibility and sustainability.
The surge in the Indian electric vehicle market in recent years can be attributed to concerted government efforts aimed at curbing carbon emissions and reducing reliance on traditional fossil fuels. Against this backdrop, the expansion of fleet operations by industry players like Wardwizard underscores a broader trend of increasing EV adoption in commercial transportation, particularly within the burgeoning last-mile delivery segment propelled by the rapid growth of e-commerce and quick commerce services.
